Heather Leavitt Martinez grew up surrounded by nature and curiosity, shaping a lifelong passion for visual communication that begins at the grassroots level. With a background in graphic facilitation and Appreciative Inquiry, Heather specializes in capturing ideas through lettering, simple drawings, and design to foster clarity, collaboration, and meaningful progress. Her work supports individuals and organizations in gaining clarity, seeing connections, exploring possibilities, and bringing their visions to life—on paper and beyond.
Rooted in an appreciative design approach that prioritizes people, planet, and progress, Heather believes that visual storytelling can bridge perspectives, amplify voices, and inspire action. With over 25 years of design experience, she has supported leadership development trainings, retreats, and community conversations using strategic visualization. A certified Appreciative Inquiry and Appreciative Resilience Facilitator, SHIFT-IT® Visual Coach, and virtual facilitator,
Heather is also a recipient of the International Association of Facilitators Impact Award. Her commitment to sustainability is woven into her work with Sustainable Structures, supporting efforts to create regenerative, resilient systems that benefit both communities and the environment.
